The WKC263B is a 63 A 2 Pole 10 kA Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) providing dependable overcurrent and short-circuit protection for high-load single-phase circuits and small sub-mains. With a B-curve tripping characteristic, it’s designed for resistive or low-inrush loads such as distribution feeders, EV control circuits, and fixed heating systems.
The dual-pole design disconnects both live conductors together to ensure safe isolation and full compliance with BS EN 60898-1. Compact 36 mm housing fits standard 35 mm DIN rails in consumer units, three-phase boards, and IP-rated enclosures.
Installer Tip: Use a 63 A B-curve MCB for main sub-feeds and high-load circuits where start-up surge is minimal. For motor or compressor loads, step up to the C-curve or D-curve variant.
Key Features
- 63 A rated – suited to sub-mains and heavy single-phase circuits
 - 10 kA breaking capacity – safe for high-fault-level installations
 - 2-pole isolation – disconnects both live conductors together
 - B-curve tripping – fast response for resistive loads and feeders
 - Bi-directional terminals – wiring from either supply or load side
 - 36 mm (2-module) body – compact DIN-rail fit
 - Complies with IEC/EN 60898-1 and 18th Edition Amendment 2
 - Integrates with EV-ready consumer units and TPN boards

When would you use a 63 A B-curve MCB?
Typically for sub-mains, distribution feeders, or heavy single-phase loads where inrush current is low.
Does it isolate both conductors?
Yes – the 2-pole design disconnects both live lines at the same time for safe maintenance.
Is it 18th Edition compliant?
Yes – built to BS EN 60898-1 and fully compliant with the 18th Edition Amendment 2.
Can it be used for EV feeds?
Yes – ideal for EV sub-circuits or distribution spurs when combined with PME fault protection devices. See our PME range.
