The WRB1 Range Type A Mini RCBO is a compact, high-immunity breaker that combines residual current and overload protection in a single 18mm module. Designed for both domestic and commercial installs, it detects AC and pulsating DC leakage, making it compliant with 18th Edition requirements for EV chargers, PV systems, and modern appliances.

This unit is available in a full range of 6A–40A ratings across both B and C curves, giving you the flexibility to choose exactly what your circuit needs:

    • 6A, 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, 40A
    • B Curve or C Curve options
    • High immunity design for reduced nuisance tripping

Each RCBO includes switched live and neutral for full isolation and is bi-directional, making it suitable for both EV and solar applications.

    WRB1 RCBO Specification Table

    • Type A RCBO – detects AC + pulsating DC leakage
    • High immunity – stable performance under harmonic-rich loads
    • Single module width (18mm) for tight boards
    • Switched live and neutral – isolates both conductors under fault
    • Bi-directional – safe for PV and EV systems
    • Complies with BS EN 61009-1

What’s the benefit of a Type A RCBO over Type AC?

Type A devices detect both AC and pulsating DC leakage, making them compliant for EV chargers, PV inverters, and modern appliances that can generate DC components.

Why choose a mini single-module RCBO?

The compact 18mm design saves space inside consumer units, ideal for retrofit upgrades or boards with limited ways.

What’s the difference between B curve and C curve?

B curve RCBOs are used for standard domestic loads, while C curve devices are better for circuits with higher inrush currents (motors, EV chargers, tools).

    Is this RCBO bi-directional?

Yes. It is suitable for use in solar PV and EV systems where current can flow in both directions.

    • Current Ratings: 6A, 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, 40A
    • Curves: B or C
    • Breaking Capacity: 6kA
    • Poles: 1P + switched neutral
    • Trip Sensitivity: 30mA
    • Earth Leakage Detection: AC + pulsating DC (Type A)
    • Module Width: 18mm (single module)
    • Dimensions: 18 × 90 × 77 mm
    • Standards: BS EN 61009-1

This mini RCBO is designed for use in standard DIN rail consumer units. Installation and final testing must be carried out by a qualified electrician.

    • Ideal for boards with limited space (single module width)
    • Switched neutral allows faster insulation resistance testing without disconnecting conductors
    • Choose B curve for general domestic loads, C curve for circuits with higher inrush currents
    • Compatible with EV charger and PV circuits requiring smooth DC fault detection
