The IP65 EV Connection Unit (WPEVCU Series) is a compact, weatherproof enclosure designed to provide safe and compliant connection for EV charge points and outdoor circuits. Each unit is fitted with a 100A main switch incomer and a B-curve or C-curve MCB, housed in a 4-way IP65 plastic case suitable for outdoor installation.

This unit provides reliable isolation and circuit protection for EV chargers, particularly where PME compliance and external connection points are required. Ideal for both domestic and commercial outdoor setups.

    Available variants:

    • WPEVCU32B – 100A main switch + 32A MCB, B curve
    • WPEVCU32C – 100A main switch + 32A MCB, C curve
    • WPEVCU40B – 100A main switch + 40A MCB, B curve

Which to choose? Select 32A for most single-phase EV chargers, or 40A where higher demand is expected. Use B curve for standard loads, or C curve where inrush currents (e.g. EV chargers with high start-up draw) are present.

    • Weatherproof: IP65 plastic case with drop-down cover
    • Pre-assembled: Supplied wired with 100A main switch + MCB
    • Compact: 4-way enclosure, wall-mount ready
    • Compliant: Meets BS7671:2018 (A2) for EV connection and PME installs

What’s included in this EV connection unit?

    Each unit comes with a 100A main switch incomer, a pre-fitted MCB (32A or 40A, B or C curve), and a 4-way IP65 weatherproof enclosure.

Is this compliant with EV charger regulations?

Yes – the unit meets BS7671:2018 (Amendment 2) requirements and provides safe external connection for EV charge points.

Can I use this for non-EV outdoor power circuits?

Yes – it can also be used for outdoor sockets, garden distribution, or small outbuildings requiring weatherproof isolation and MCB protection.

What’s the difference between B curve and C curve?

B curve is for general loads, while C curve is designed for circuits with higher inrush currents such as EV chargers and motors.
