The 3 Way EV RCBO Enclosure is a compact, built-to-order unit providing both earth leakage and overload protection for most electric vehicle charging installations. Supplied with your choice of Type A High Immunity RCBO (B or C curve, 32A or 40A), it’s only 34mm wider than our 2-way version, making it ideal for space-sensitive installs.
Designed for single-phase EV supply applications, the dual-switch action clearly indicates whether a fault is AC or DC related, helping speed up diagnosis and maintenance on-site.
- Type A High Immunity RCBO – detects AC & pulsating DC faults plus smooth DC up to 6mA
- Choice of curve (B or C) and rating (32A or 40A)
- Earth leakage protection: 30mA AC / 6mA DC
- Robust metal enclosure with 3 DIN modules
- Installer-friendly terminal layout
- Built to order – allow 3 days for dispatch
What’s the advantage of a Type A High Immunity RCBO?
It detects both AC and pulsating DC leakage currents and remains stable in circuits with high-frequency noise from EV chargers.
Do I need an earth rod with this unit?
No – but ensure your EV installation meets PME/PEN fault protection requirements where applicable.
Can I choose the RCBO rating?
Yes – select 32A or 40A in either B or C curve when ordering.
- Model: WMEV332B, WMEV332C, WMEV340B, WMEV340C
