The WMEPME08/SP is an 8-module PME / PEN Fault Detection Consumer Unit with integrated Type A RCBO and Type 2 Surge Protection Device (SPD) - designed for EV charger installations that require full PME fault safety without the need for an earth rod. This metal-enclosed unit continually monitors supply voltage and isolates Live, Neutral, and Earth within 5 seconds if it detects dangerous voltage conditions, keeping installers compliant with BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition, Amendment 2).
Compact, installer-ready, and EV-compliant, it’s the ideal choice for chargers with integral DC leakage protection but no PME fault detection, such as many Tesla wall connectors.
