What does ‘retractive’ mean?
Retractive (or momentary) switches return to their default position once released. They only make contact while pressed — ideal for triggers, bells, and smart control inputs.
Is the WS1GR suitable for EV chargers?
Yes. Many EV charger setups use a retractive switch as a manual override or boost trigger. This IP65 model is perfect for exposed outdoor use.
Can it be used for lighting circuits?
Only where a momentary input is required, such as motion-activated relays or smart control systems. For normal lighting, use the WS1G2W instead.
Is it supplied with glands and fixings?
Yes – glands, seals, and mounting screws are included for a fully waterproof installation.
