The WCED IP65 Rotary Isolator range provides safe, weatherproof circuit isolation for both AC and DC systems. Designed for reliability in residential, commercial, and renewable energy applications, these rotary switches deliver robust protection up to 125A across multiple variants.
Each unit features a clear red/yellow rotary handle, compact IP65 housing, and positive ON/OFF indication for quick identification and secure isolation. Options are available for AC 4 Pole configurations (20A–125A) as well as DC-specific models (32A and 40A) rated for PV and battery storage installations.
Available Variants:
- WRS4P20 – 20A 4 Pole AC Isolator
- WRS4P32 – 32A 4 Pole AC Isolator
- WRS4P40 – 40A 4 Pole AC Isolator
- WRS4P63 – 63A 4 Pole AC Isolator
- WRS4P80 – 80A 4 Pole AC Isolator
- WRS4P100 – 100A 4 Pole AC Isolator
- WRS4P125 – 125A 4 Pole AC Isolator
- WRS4P32DC – 32A 4 Pole DC Isolator
- WRS4P40DC – 40A 4 Pole DC Isolator
Whether you need a compact isolator for EV chargers, a weatherproof solution for outdoor submains, or a DC-rated switch for solar PV and battery banks, this range offers proven performance across the board.
What’s the difference between AC and DC rotary isolators?
AC isolators are designed for standard mains circuits, while DC isolators are built for solar PV, battery storage, and EV systems where direct current is used. Using the wrong type can cause damage or safety risks.
What does IP65 mean?
It means the isolator is fully protected against dust ingress and water jets, making it suitable for outdoor installations.
Do I need a 2 pole or 4 pole isolator?
4 pole isolators disconnect all live conductors (L1, L2, L3, N) and are often required in multi-phase and DC applications for complete isolation.
Are these compliant with UK wiring regulations?
Yes – all models meet BS EN 60947-3 and comply with BS 7671 (18th Edition) isolation requirements.
